Volunteer
Our journey is long and making a difference as a one or two-person team would be hard. Therefore we always seek volunteers to help us with this cause.
As a volunteer you will be working with various tasks around the organization ranging from designing, coding, writing, promoting or handle our social media profiles.
If becoming a volunteer sounds interesting then please fill in the form to the right and we will get back to you shortly. In the sections below you can read more about available positions and requirements.
Who are we?
Sustainable WWW is a group of web developers and designers that are dedicated to teach the way of sustainable web design.
We work actively with lowering the carbon footprint of the internet by spreading awareness and teaching sustainable methods. We cannot change the course alone, but if we work together we can lower the overall environmental impact and make the internet more accessible to people in areas with low bandwidth.
What does a volunteer do?
Volunteers are the foundation of Sustainable WWW and they help with various tasks around the organization. As a volunteer your task can be to create content that will be read by web designers, developers and website owners. You can also be assigned to run our social media profiles where you will be creating posts and answering comments.
On the programming side you can work with either frontend or backend code. As a developer your tasks will be to maintain and develop our code base and help invent new and exciting features.
Any contribution made by you is welcome, but we expect our volunteers to be working between 2-10 hours a week depending on their availability.
